How To Care For Your Grape Vine Wreath

Grapevine wreaths can be used year-round and are a classic type of indoor-outdoor home decor that fit both rustic and modern farmhouse styles. The brown vines that create the wreaths provide a natural canvas for other decorations, and can be dressed up or left unembellished

Let me help you with a few care tips so your wreath will look as good next year as it does today!

Caring for Your Grapevine Wreath

To clean dust from grapevine wreaths that have been hung indoors, you can use a soft paintbrush, a blow dryer, or a soft lint free cloth.

  • To use a paintbrush, simply brush the dust off the wreath with gentle pressure. Using a brush can let you get into the crevices of the grapevines. If it’s been a long time since you cleaned the wreath, you might want to do this outside to avoid spreading dust around.
  • A blow dryer can be used on a cool air setting to blow dust off the wreath and any decorations like ribbons or silk flowers. Again, you might want to do this outside to avoid blowing dust all over your house. One tip for using a blow dryer is to angle the air so that it’s blowing across the surface of the wreath and not pointing directly into it. You want to blow the dust off of it, not force the dust farther into the vines!
  • Using a can of compressed air is another option, but if the wreath is very large it might take a lot of air! If the wreath has a lot of dust embedded in the center of the vines, you can use the can of air and insert the nozzle through the back so that you’re blowing any debris out of the front of the wreath. You can do this in conjunction with another one of the methods to get the best results.

I hope that these tips will help you enjoy your grapevine wreath for many years! Or at least till you are in the mood for a new one!

How to Care for a Wire Ribbon Bow

Wire Ribbon bows can last for several seasons if they receive proper care. If you are like me, my taste changes frequently and usually I am ready to switch out my seasonal decor well before they are at the end of their lifespans! Do you know how to care for a wire ribbon bow?

  • Wired ribbon bows are resilient and can usually be reshaped into something beautiful.
  • To fluff a bow, you must work from the inside out. Just place your three middle fingers into the bow and spread them out! That motion is probably hard to imagine in your head, so I made a video that shows the proper way to fluff a bow. You will see how to shape the ribbon ties as well.

  • Wire Ribbon Bows can be stored several ways. If you bought your wreath online, you could also use the box in which it was shipped for storage.

I hope that these tips will help you enjoy your Wire Ribbon Bow for many years! Or you are in the mood for a new one!

Many blessings to you and yours,

I’m excited to share with you a (short) bit about myself, why I craft wreathes & how crafting has changed my life. During Covid alcohol had taken total control over my life. I had tremendous depression and difficulty with the isolation. In March of 2021 when I could not live another day the same as the day before I sought treatment. Through the recovery process I learned new ways to manage stress, anxiety & depression without alcohol. Then a friend introduced me to CRAFTING!!!!! I tried out several types of crafts but once I discovered wreath making, I fell completely in love. The joy you feel when you walk up to a front door and there is a welcoming wreath or as you adorn your home with décor I love it all. Today by the Grace of God and my love of crafting I am 3 years clean & sober & I craft every day. Thank you for your purchase and the special part your wreath had in my recovery journey.
